It’s been almost a month since the last entry, there is an entry over sixty days old lurking at the bottom of this page while I’m writing this, when I’m done it’s replaced by a fifty plus days old entry. That’s not good either.
This entry is actually entry number 500, a fact that calls for a celebration. I celebrate by drinking a glass of juice and bringing you a new default theme. If the site looks just like it did the last time you visited, then you’ve decided to use another theme than the default one at some point in time. To see the new theme, simply go to the Themes section and click the bottom link to delete your theme cookie. Alternatively, you can choose the new theme directly. It’s called Knife in Butter #1 for no apparent reason. As always I’ve made no real effort to make it look good in Internet Explorer, I recommend using a real browser, like Opera or Firefox instead. The theme is not perfect, but it’s a welcome change from the old ones. Note the subtile background tiles. I stole that design idea somewhere.
I’m also seriously considering getting a new host for this web site. The one I’m currently using were great when they were small, but they have grown too large too fast, not being able to continue to deliver the great service they once did. Well-known host Media Temple looks like a mighty fine alternative at an affordable price. Even if they have a god damn Flash site.
And on top of all this, I removed the link to the Mobog section, mostly because the script had suddenly decided to die but partly because I’ll soon have to hand in the cam phone I’m currently using. The phone belongs to NRK, and I’m only an NRK employee for a couple more weeks. Read on!
As you’ve probably figured I’ve been terribly busy the last couple of months. The reason for this is that I’ve been working 12+ hours every day, plus weekends. The usual eight hours at NRK, then a few more hours at another company. To make a very long story very short, I’m leaving NRK when my contract ends on the 1st of June to work full time in a new company. We’ll be working on various solutions for mobile devices. It’s a risky business, but it’s a once in a life time opportunity, and I would probably regret it if I didn’t give it a try. Visit Rubberduck Media Lab on the web at www.rubberduckmedialab.com, alternatively co.uk or .no. And wish us luck.
In other news I should mention that my favourite artist, Matthew Good has released not one but two songs from his upcoming album, White Light Rock & Roll Review. Both great songs, just the way I like Mr. Good.
From now on I’ll hopefully be able to post new entries more often than I’ve done lately. But don’t hold your breath while waiting.
