Spring

Today’s the first day of the first spring month of the year, but what I’m seeing when looking through my bedroom window doesn’t look very spring like to me. It’s been snowing for two days straight now and it doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon either. Still lovin’ it, probably because I don’t have a car, nor am I depending on public transportation to get to work in the morning.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve bought a few new CDs. Two by Trapt, which both come highly recommended. The tracks range from average to brilliant in quality. “Waiting” from their latest album “Someone in Control” is one of the most excellent songs I’ve heard in quite some time. I’ve also bought two discs with intelligent stand up comedy by George Carlin and Bill Hicks. I’m not that familiar with George Carlin, but he makes me laugh, so I’ll probably have a go at some of his other releases, too. If you’ve decided to only listen to one dead stand up comedian this year; Bill Hicks is the guy you should pick. How can you not laugh at immortal quotes like this one?

The worst kind of non-smokers are the ones that come up to you and cough. That’s pretty fucking cruel isn’t it? Do you go up to cripples and dance too?

Amen, brother.
