Redesigned
If things look like they always have, try refreshing.
There has been an abnormal lack of activity on the site this year1. But in a rare burst of creativity, I went ahead and redesign it.
Compared to the previous design, the new one, called Hyde, is a bit stripped down. There is no mobile menu hamburger (but that’s something I might add in the future), no dark theme, the A Picture A Day section still uses the old color scheme, I’ve decided to not use cover photos, there are a few bugs if you’re viewing this on a cell phone, and a lot of the post metadata is gone. Most of it was just noise anyway.
Now, the writing takes center stage.
As before, working with Hugo is a pleasure. The entire process from I decided to switch theme to the end result you’re seeing now took perhaps 6 hours in total. If you’re looking for a static site generator that’ll take you from idea to production in no time, then Hugo is the obvious choice.
And that’s it for tonight.
Give the people you love a hug.
As you’ll notice, my English writing skills are suffering because of this. ↩︎

It looks like you're using Google's Chrome browser, which records everything you do on the internet. Personally identifiable and sensitive information about you is then sold to the highest bidder, making you a part of surveillance capitalism.
The Contra Chrome comic explains why this is bad, and why you should use another browser.
