Painter Man
On Thursday I painted a wall. You didn’t see what one coming, did you? It was not one of my own walls, though, I helped Merete in her new/old apartment at Kalbakken. The apartment is old in the way that she’s lived there before and new because she has moved in again now. In the meantime she rented the place to a couple who had made quite a lot of holes in the walls. So the apartment needed a little paint.
Maybe I should paint one of my own walls, too.
The bike round trip to and from Kalbakken is about 20 kilometers (12 miles) from my place and it was a nice ride in the sun. Yesterday I went in the same direction, but past Kalbakken, to Storo to buy a new USB memory stick I needed to play around with different Linux distributions on my new Asus Eee PC 1000HE netbook. That trip was roughly 25 kilometers (15 miles), so I’ve managed to cover a respectable distance this week considering it wasn’t part of my planned exercise. On the trip to Storo I had a very pleasant tail wind, and hence I had to work with the same head wind going back home.
But all in all it was one of the best rides I’ve had in a long, long time.
