Doing it doggie-style
Finally. The V-Box is now almost up and running properly. Apache 2.0.43 is installed with PHP 4.3.0, but I have to recompile PHP to get GD and JPEG support. It’s also running Samba, so the full 80 GBs are now shared on our LAN, and SSH is giving me remote access to the shell, which is nice. That was tons of technical details that probably bored about 99% of you to death. On top of that, I might write a short guide to setting up FreeBSD with all the services mentioned above, so that you don’t fall into the same pits I fell into during the installation process.
Thank God there is a cool gang calling themselves N.E.R.D.
A couple of minutes ago, while sitting in my room, I overheard Ricky Lake on the telly in the living room - yes, our apartment ain’t that big: “After the break, we’ll see the latest doggie-styles coming down the catwalk.” And that kind of caught my attention. But it turned out they were just showing dogs fashion. I guess the first thing that came to my mind when I heard the sentence was a little bit far off anyway. At least for Ricky Lake.
I’m not sure if it’s much else to tell right now. I’ll have a page with “highlights” from the webcam up in a few days. Not that many highlights yet, hopefully more to come.
Soon I might go out for a couple of beers.
